Razer has released the DeathAdder V4 Pro, the newest version of its popular gaming mouse series. It has an upgraded HyperSpeed Wireless Gen 2 connection, as well as a new scroll wheel and other helpful improvements.
This next-generation wireless system gives an extremely stable connection, using over 63% less power and reducing delay by 37% compared to the previous version. Along with a redesigned dongle for better performance, the mouse can reach incredibly fast response speeds of up to 8000 Hz, whether used with a wire or wirelessly.
Normally, big upgrades that require a lot more power drain the battery faster, but the mouse still offers long battery life. It can last up to 150 hours of gameplay at 1000 Hz, making it ideal for long gaming sessions.
The mouse also comes with Razer’s first Optical Scroll Wheel, built specifically for esports. This new scroll wheel has better accuracy and is three times more durable than traditional mechanical scroll wheels, which should lead to reliable and precise control even in the most intense matches. Another key improvement is the all-new Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4. These switches have been redesigned to give a sharper, more satisfying click feel and are rated to last for 100 million clicks.
At the heart of the mouse's tracking ability is the Razer Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2. This sensor helps maintain accurate tracking on a wide variety of surfaces, with a maximum sensitivity of 45,000 DPI, a speed of 900 inches per second, and 85 G of acceleration, all while maintaining 99.8% accuracy. The sensor also includes advanced features like Dynamic Sensitivity, Mouse Rotation, and Sensitivity Matcher, which should give you an edge in high-pressure competitive games.
While there are a lot of features built into the mouse, it's still extremely light and comfortable. The black model weighs just 56 grams, while the white model is 57 grams, which is pretty light for any gaming mouse. Larger polytetrafluorethylene feet have been added for smoother movement on different surfaces. The mouse also has split side buttons, a design choice that helps prevent accidental clicks during fast gameplay.

Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro
The Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro features Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 for ultra-stable connectivity, lower latency, and up to 150 hours of gameplay. The mouse debuts Razer’s first optical scroll wheel, offering triple the durability of traditional designs, and the all-new Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, rated for 100 million clicks.
The development of the mouse was so focused on high-competitive gameplay that it included direct input from professional esports players. Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, a famous Counter-Strike player with multiple international championships and a recent member of Team Razer, played a major role in shaping the mouse. Razer worked closely with NiKo to adjust details like weight distribution, button feel, and overall handling. NiKo tested early versions in official tournaments, which gave real-time feedback that helped finalize the product.
If you want to upgrade your mouse setup, the DeathAdder V4 Pro is now available for purchase and comes in white and black. It will cost you $170.
